Not too bad, but a little slower than the 360 add-on...10 dB is quite a bit, so if all sounds good, then it's probably fine...On my TV, it didn't look good at all...even after weeks of trying different calibration and service menu settings...
Ill jut throw it out in 2 years...Too bad only a handful of titles even use the HDi on HD DVD in the first place...By the way, Amazon may seem like a good deal with the Toshiba for $300, but the 5 free HD DVD's they limit you are really crappy! Bestbuy offers 4 free HD DVD's at $399, but you can pick any four HD DVD's in the store...

The others do send bitstream thru the optical but...Also got unit for a good price at $609 from Amazon! Now back up to $779...Letting the Onkyo decode, the first thing I noticed was the sound was much louder...
