First of all, you can acquire this camera for 300 new, and 200 refurbished (good as new in my opinion...You can do that all day and you'll get good pictures...Overall the pictures are really nice, the sharpness could be better in some cases...

I do recommend this camera only for outdoor pictures and for taking Macro pictures from as close as two inches...I would recommend spending the extra money and getting an Olympus, Nikon or Sony...This Camera is a Good Choice if You Want Something...

Both are similarly priced, have similar specs (Asus has an x700, Satellite a go6600 etc...Don't buy your RAM through them though because you pay 5x what you need to order it from somewhere else...I have not not one complaint about my M60, so that one has my vote, but I have never even looked at an Asus before...
