TOSHIBA SD-2805 SUPPORT & TROUBLESHOOTING

I own several Toshiba 2805 laptops - ranging from the S201 model (Celeron 650) to the faster S302 (PIII 750) models...I have a cache of 2.5" IDE hard drives and they're all perfectly good drives in other systems, but as long as these drives are larger than the existing drives in these Toshiba 2805s, they don't get recognized...I have the same problem with my Toshiba...

great model except some trouble with mp3's, won't accept long filenames (over 8 characters...Very nice if you don't care to play svcds, menu options are good...This was the best deal on a 5 disc changer that would play VCD I could find! Too bad it has to go back to Best Buy because it won't play SVCD...

Why would one want to do it on a lower resolution source like DVD...New Toshiba DVD changer-- SD2805 - Digital Forum...I mean, I don't use the digital zoom on my digital camera for the simple reason that it kills picture quality...

A friend ordered this online and it did not last long...Bottomline, don't spend more than $80 on a DVD player, because it will probably be dead shortly after the warranty expires...
