I got the salesman down at Futureshop to throw in a Panasonic DVDRP62 with their new Panasonic 47" hdtv, but when I asked if we got to take it home with us that night, he said he had none in stock and it would arrive when the TV did...However, soon after he noticed that they had a Panny DVD-RP62 open box sitting on a table...So I'm just curious if the Panasonic or Toshiba is better...

Unfortunately, I am unable to view it because our Toshiba SD 3800 DVD player states that it plays only region 1 DVD's...First, I contacted Toshiba Canada customer support, but they told me that my only option would be to purchase a new DVD that would accommodate my region 2 and 4 DVD's...

After extensive testing, the conclusion is that it read all the media I threw at it...I was truly amazed at how good this player is - the picture quality is superb as it has progressive scan and even with PS off, it still delivers a great picture...The playback of these copies is as good as the original...

After 1 year, the sound went out and they replaced the main PCB for half price...It's hooked up to my RCA 38" HDTV (see my review...it's like you are really there...
