The contrast ratio is pretty good...they say that 1080p on something under 60" is not noticeable IF YOU SIT AS FAR AS THEY RECOMMEND...This is where 1080p will dominate 720p, if you use the tv at closer distances than the general recommended...
Although in terms of comparing the westinghouse to what I saw on display at the same locations...westinghouse looked just as good as the others for what was shown on the screen across them all...So, not really feeling too shaky on the "does it look as good as brand X" factor...Not a bad deal considering it is $1300 everywhere else...
So we decided to obtain and review a TV that can be considered a value brand...This guy had a good reputation...I strongly recommend that you review the warranty...
