I've made this a permanent part of every post I make because it seems to be so hard for everybody to realize that we need lots of details in order to even start to be helpful except in a generic useless way...Can someone please help a brotha out...Not all remote controls use the same scheme for IR codes...
I have a YamahaDVD-C950 which works perfectly fine; however, the panel display in front of the DVD player is all dashes all the time...Sounds like one of the chips that feed the panel have gone bad...It doesn't sound like a simple fix...
Sound-wise they both have gotten great marks, but the 750 sounds like it will have the better picture...I would think the 950 would be at least as good as the 750 and I can certainly wait a week or two since its supposed to be out last month...And the surplus comes straightforward and unadorned pro your viewing...
You should be aware that DVD-R DL requires very special settings to burn correctly...I know many have complained about them, but due to a somewhat immediate requirement for about fourty DLs and a tight budget, I really had no other choice and was lucky...If anybody has good luck, please explain what burning software you used and how it was configured...
Best of all it plays all discs, including the scratched up rentals, far better then my old sony...Anyone using a single universal remote will not mind the remote faults...I have owned many Yamaha products and used their amps for over 25 years this dvd player is exactly what you would expect from Yamaha...
