One thing I am sure of is that its audio output sound is only as good as the device plugged into it is...The unit sounds good at all levels and the tuner is sensitive...As for the apparently modest 60 watts per channel @ 8 ohms, all I can add here is that it's amazing what 60 or less watts can do when put to good use...

I've had good luck with my old system and over the course of 21 years it has had very light use--no more than 10 hours a month...Maybe Made in Japan for Denon isn't good after all...If the situation arises again where a new receiver is before me for $75, which brands would be good with my B&W speakers...
