YAMAHA SW218V FORUMS & BLOGS

I would recommend at least 1200 watts per dual 18...I've got an opportunity to dump my Behringer 18" subs (yeah) and have come across what looks to be a good deal on the Yamaha...If it is a good deal, and you can only afford it, ask to demo the subs...

Please read our product review guidelines then write a review for others to read...I visited muh local shop and had a pretty good demo setup amongst all the subs...Just make sure you have 2 people to carry this monster! It's worth the weight...

Even if they end up costing more, I know they'll be worth it...The price is nice on this double 18" sub but are there two tubas in the same price range that will out perform...Are you willing to die trying to take it...
www.guitarcenter.com
Contact your local Guitar Center store to check the availability of this product...I was insainely impressed, DEEP tones, and impressive as all hell...they were completely wrong for the size of the room...

Yamaha makes NO recommendation of this and it MAY void the warranty due to the fact that you have to open up the cab to install it...I listened to a couple of unpowered subs and the SW218v won hands down...However, if you want a full sound with an "in your face" effect that hits you in your chest, the SW218v more than does the job...
