Zenith has gotten some really bad reviews for the quality of their other DVD players...This progressive scan model is new, and has gotten pretty good reviews in most places...The Samsung would only skip the bad part, not to the next chapter...

Well, after 3 months with the APEX 1500 and its very frustrating remote control and poor GUI, I made the transition to the Zenith 2381...But, for now, this unit's video output to my 1994 model TV is more than good...Overall, I have a big smile on my face and have enjoyed this unit...

BTW, I sent an EMail to Zenith about the VCD issue and the official answer is that this player doesn't play VCDs...Ok, gave it a second try and finally got VCD's to work...I am happy with it so far, since Zenith said it wouldn't play anything except DVD...

Didn't find my DVD player in the compatibility list so I though of asking here...I got this Zenith DVD2381 player and was told it did play VCD's, MP3's...Well, it does all that, even on CDR's, except for VCD's...Anybody has the magical receipe for burning VCD's so they work fine on a Zenith DVD2381...
